BSTI's Rick Brady selected for CCHIT Work Group. Rick Brady, President and CTO of Okemos, Michigan consulting firm BSTI, has been selected to serve as a Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) Security Work Group member. CCHIT, under contract from the US Department of Health and Human Services, has been tasked with developing a process to certify Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications.  This effort is part of President George W. Bush’s vision for improving the quality and reducing the cost of healthcare through widespread use of health information technology. Certification will make it easier for healthcare providers and payers to adopt EHRs, and will enable the President’s call for EHRs to be in use for most Americans by 2014. More information about CCHIT can be found at www.cchit.org.
